Telfair Museums is teaming up with the nationally acclaimed Slave Dwelling Project this fall 2022. Director and founder of the project, Joseph McGill, has been reframing the narrative of American History through the lens of enslaved people. McGill has slept in more than 100 slave dwellings throughout the United States and offers powerful conversations about the history of the African American experience, the complexities of slavery, and the impact slavery continues to have on our nation today.

Join us for a panel discussion led by McGill and special guest speakers as he reflects preserving and interpreting the architecture of slavery.
