This class lays the foundations for observational drawing techniques with a focus on drawing the portrait. You’ll explore techniques for creating volume and light in drawing with charcoal, while learning to recognize and render proportions and shape. Exercises will culminate in a final drawing of Mom drawn by her child and the child drawn by Mom! All materials are provided.
