Look to the Helen Levitt exhibition and create your own Pop-Up portraits. Students will create large pop-up card portraits. Simplifying forms using color, value, and shapes to help students paint surprising portraits that leap off the page. By transforming noses, eyes, and ears into bright colors and shapes of paper, this class will make students more comfortable when drawing with pencils.
